Friends of Double Joy (charity no 1087172) is committed to ensuring that any personal information on donors and supporters is stored securely.  We keep certain personal information in order to carry out our day to day operations, to meet our objectives and to comply with legal obligations. Friends of Double Joy (FODJ) therefore a Data Controller under the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Directive on Data Protection (GDPR) introduced in 2018.

In line with the Data Protection Act 1998 principles FODJ will ensure that personal data will:

 

• Be obtained fairly and lawfully and shall not be processed unless certain conditions are met

• Be obtained for a specific and lawful purpose

• Be adequate, relevant but not excessive

• Be accurate and kept up to date

• Not be held longer than necessary

• Be processed in accordance with the rights of data subjects

• Be subject to appropriate security measures

We hold personal data in order to carry out the following functions;-

• To process donations,

• To keep you informed on how your donations are being spent,

• To keep you up to date with developments, activities and events of Friends of Double Joy or Double Joy Children's Farm (DJCF)-Kenya

• To enable you to correspond with Double Joy (DJCF)-Kenya

 

We will only collect the following details about you:

• Your name

• Your email address and/or postal address.We will use this information to acknowledge and thank you for  donations, to send newsletters/email updates and to links to. Double Joy

Gift Aid Forms

We use these forms to claim gift aid on donations in accordance with HMRC regulations

We will hold and dispose of this data securely. If you want to know what data we hold on you, or to ask us to delete it, please email doublejoy1994@gmail.com we will dispose of your personal data by deleting electronic files or shredding paper copies.
